Question about garage door openers?

Theoreticaly, could someone buy a universal garage door opener and open my garage door. I know they sell universal openers but do you have to have a special code to open a door and would the code be relativly easy to figgure out? Gotta hate white-collar criminals.

Yes, it is possible. In fact you can drive around town pushing your garage door opener and eventually you will open someones garage door. It would be more difficult to open a specific door by changing the code on a remote, but certainly possible. There are only so many code combinations available.
