Is it possible to object to the council re a newly built garage if it’s been granted planning permission?

firefly3050 asked:
A new house has been built behind ours and initially, from the plans, we had no major objections. But now the building is being erected we are appalled at the height of the double garage roof. It is unnecessarily high, the apex measuring the same height as the bricks forming the housing of the garage. This was impossble to invision from the plans and we, and our neighbours all think the roof should be at least half the height it currently is. The garage is linked in a curved kind of L shape to the house by single story utility room and the roof on this is perfectly acceptable. Any suggestions as to how or who we should send our objections to before the roof is actually completed?
