How tough is it to replace a garage door opener?

My GDO is on it’s last lag. It needs to be replaced. The door and tracks are in good shape. I was wondering how difficult it would be to remove the existing GDO and replace it with a new one.

Is this a DIY project or should I have someone else do it?

    The way would go many stores dont even carry anything other than 12 hp anymore.

    An hour or so following the door opener is good then you should check the door opener is good then open the.
