Dane_Fla asked:

I am considering purchasing a Garage Door Opener, and believe that I will have to remove my door lock as a result. How safe are these things with regards to someone opening the door? I understand about electronics and the fact that some of the untis have a security code sequence, but can someone just lift the door up? Thanks for reading….help!

DO NOT REMOVE THE LOCK HANDLE ON THE DOOR. IT WILL SERVE AS EXTRA SECURITY, ESPECIALLY WHEN U ARE OUT OF TOWN. THE MANUFACTOR OF THE REMOTE TYPE MASS PRODUCES THEM SO U WILL NEED TO CHANGE THE CODE TO YOUR PERSONAL CODE ON THE TRANSMITTER AS WELL AS THE MOTOR CONTROL. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN THE MANUAL.
