How much to convert a one car garage into a two car garage?

I am in the process of purchasing a home with a detached one car garage with wood siding, built in the 60’s. The garage is in great shape and there is plenty of room to add on to it. I was wondering if anyone had a rough idea of what it would cost to hire a contractor to convert the one car garage into a two car garage. I don’t need anything fancy–no heat, no windows, no loft. I should also mention that I live in the Midwest… Any ideas?

    The garage to the exitisiting but would say around 70 dollars sq foot.
