Help with Craftman garage door opener 13953635SRT gear sprocket replacment?

Posted by admin
James S asked:

I have a Sears Craftman garage door opener 13953635SRT. The gear sprocket went on it so I ordered another. The instructions that came with the gear are sparse, but it says to remove SHAFT BEARING KIT. But I can’t and one of the bearings is broke on the shaft. Can I still get it off? And How was I supposed to get it off? The instructions suggested an allen wrench but my bearing seemed to be tooled into the drive work gear peice instead. I need help.
