Does cold weather damage drum kits?

Posted by admin
Ell28 asked:

I’m thinking of storing some drums in a garage. The garage is water-tight but prone to dampness. Will this have a long/short term effect on their performance. Is their any “cheap” methods of keeping drums in a damp environment (i don’t want to convert my garage into a room). Is there any signs I should look out for. Also this summer (if it gets hot) is there any precautions that I should take? Oh I live in the U.K Thanks.
