Baron_von_Party asked:

Want to find a kit to build a shed in our yard, but want a small garage door, not a pair of hinged doors. We’ve seen a few sheds at Home Depot website for example that we like but really want an overhead garage door. Can kits be easily adapted for an overhead? I know it would need a header panel. Unsure what other things must be there, I assume something to hang the rear of the door track to, like a horizontal joist. The one I was most interested in I don’t think has a vertical joist (just diagonal ones under the roof panels), but probably could add one? Or not. Any input I’d appreciate. I could probably spend a couple grand on a kit.
“I don’t think it has horizontal joists” I meant to say, not vertical.

I_Love_McRedneck asked:

My *sweet* little dogs have developed this liking for chewing on the insulation of our garage door.
I’ve heard there’s an insulation kit so you could just pop out a panel and put in a new one.
Problem is, I can’t find one anywhere. I’ve been to Lowes, Home Depot and even started searching on the internet.
I heard this might be a seasonal product - anyone know where I can get it, or at least when it will be available at Lowe’s if I can’t order it online somewhere right now?
Thanks everyone!

NoTlazidazi asked:

I want to build my own garage doors, but can’t find where to buy the components - panel sections, hardware, etc. - on which to build it myself. [I don’t mean, hardware for installing the doors;] I mean the hardware sections on which to put my own wood, to make an overhead garage door. Have been google-ing to find such a “kit”, but cannot.

Anyone know where such a kit can be purchased?

Mark M asked:

I want to insulate my garage door for not too much cost (those $100+ insulation kits are a bit out of my range), it needs to be somewhat removable since I’m renting, and I still want to be able to use the garage door after it’s insulated ,too. Is it possible to have all of this?
