Converting garage to playroom?

Hi,
I am planning to make our garage a playroom for my 9 month old. baiscally put his toys there so he has lot of room to explore without worrying about getting hurt by any furniture. Now the question is, what should I do to the floor of the garage? What can be done to make it child friendly. My garage is clean with no furniture or cabinets or any junk whatsoever. Please share your ideas.

      I have seen colorful foam tiles at home depot. I have not tried them but they look cool.
